ABUJA – President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday night behind closed doors with the Peoples Democratic Party senators.
The meeting held inside the First Lady’s Conference Hall in the Presidential Villa.
Those in the meeting included the governors on the platform of the PDP, while the President of the Senate, David Mark, led senators and some members of the House of Representatives.
Some members of the party’s National Working Committee led by the National Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Muazu, also attended.
The ruling party’s senators are angry that party structures in states have been handed over to governors thus shutting them (senators) from being returned to the upper chamber in the forthcoming 2015 election.
Many second term PDP governors have indicated intention to run for senate. This has not gone down with PDP senators.
