Abuja – Police Machine Football Club of Abuja on Friday drew 1-1 with Kuje United FC in the week six of the ongoing Nationwide League One (NLO).
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that in the match played at the Area 3 football pitch in Abuja, both teams gave a good account of themselves.
Both teams fought hard but could not convert their efforts into goals in the first half.
Peter Abapa of Kuje United FC opened scoring in the 58th minute of the game with a shot from outside the penalty area.
Akumushi Magaji equalised for his team in the 85th minute of the game.
Speaking after the match, Ali Mukaila, the coach of Police Machine FC, said he was not satisfied with his team’s performance.
“I really wanted us to win the game so that we could advance in our group.
“But we will now go back and fortify our attack so that our attackers will perform better in our next game, because I was not impressed with their performance in this game,’’ he said.
On his part, the head coach of Kuje United FC, Raphael Agatu, said it was a good game but he had wanted a win.
“My players tried their best, but it was unfortunate that they could not score more goals. We will work hard to ensure a win in our next game,” he said.(NAN)
