Lagos – Four men, on Friday appeared before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court over alleged theft of valuables worth N101,000.
The defendants, Oluwaseun Odusanya 16; Ayomide Alesinloye, 18; Damilare Akinyemi, 26 and David Oshe, 24, are facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing, to which they pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Christopher John, told the court that the defendants committed the offences on June 12 at No 27/29 Awotedo St., Pipeline, Oke-Odo, Agege in Lagos.
John alleged said that the defendants stole a tab phone valued at N30,000, slimming belt valued at N50,000 and three power banks valued at N15,000.
The prosecutor also alleged that the defendants stole a charger worth N6,000 belonging to Mrs Faith Ineamah, in contravention of Sections 411 and 287 of Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The Chief Magistrate, P.E. Nwaka, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N60,000 each with two sureties each in like sum and adjourned the case until July 1 .
