Abuja – The independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has started the distribution of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to eligible voters in preparation for the March 19 council election.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) correspondent, who monitored the distribution in three distribution centres in Abuja on Friday observed that some of the INEC officials were seen giving PVC to voters.
They were, however, assisted by some National Youths Service Corps members.

NAN reports that the officials of the INEC reported at the centres at 10.40 a.m. instead of 8.a.m.
Among the centres visited were the City Centre, Area 10, GSS Wuse and Garki Primary School in the FCT.
NAN further reports that at the city centre, only three voters and the NYSC members were there, while at the GSS Wuse centre, some voters were seen waiting to be given their PVCs. (NAN)
