Ibadan – The Law Students’ Association (LSA), Lead City University(LCU), Ibadan, would at its 2016 Law Week give special recognition to the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, late Chief Ajibola Ige and Oba Lamidi Adeyemi–the Alaafin of Oyo.
This was contained in a statement signed by Mr Wale Ojo-Lanre, the Public Relations Officer, LSA, LCU and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ibadan on Saturday.
It said that the choice of the personalities was in recognition of their legacies and immeasurable contributions to the society.

The statement said that the 2016 Law Week would hold from Monday, March 14 to March 18, and would be predicated on recognising the relevance of law to the students, the individuals and the society at large.
It said that the week would commence with a ‘legal walk’ round the campus in the early hours of Monday.
The statement said a public lecture to be presided over by Justice Nonyerem Okoronkwo of the Court of Appeal, Ibadan Division, was also slated for the day.
The lecture, according to Ojo-Lanre is entitled “The Legal Profession: The prospects and challenges of a prospective Nigerian lawyer in the 21st Century”.
The university PRO added that the lecture was expected to be delivered by Mr Kazeem Gbadamosi, a former Chairman, Nigerian Bar Association, Oyo State branch.
According to the statement, “the Mock Trial of the Law Week, which is going to be presided over by Mr Adekola Kareem, will hold on Tuesday, March 15 at the Faculty of Law Mock Court in honour of the late Awolowo.
“This is for his enduring contribution to the civil society, legal profession and national development.’’ (NAN)
