Abuja – The Alliance for Democracy (AD) on Thursday in Abuja hailed the Federal Government’s decision to disburse N5 billion to victims of insurgency.
In a statement signed by the party’s National Chairman, Mr Rafiu Salau, AD said the gesture would go a long way to show that the government cared for its citizens.
According to the statement, this singular act will restore the faith of the citizenry in the government to show support should trouble arise.
“The party really commends the President for providing N5 billion to the victims of Boko Haram. It will make them to know that the country cares for them.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]
“They will realise that the new government is ready to take care of them.
“The youths whose parents were victims of the insurgency will now know that they are under a government that cares for the citizens, and will support the government.
“The step shows that every Nigerian is important to this government. The policy will also change the people to have an orientation of patriotism to the nation,’’ the statement said. (NAN)
