Yola – Following Wednesday’s bomb blast in Maiduguri, the Adamawa Police Command, has called on the people of the state to be security conscious.
The call is contained in a press statement signed by SP Othman Abubakar, the command Public Relations Officer and issued to newsmen on Wednesday in Yola.
The statement drew the attention of the people to the prevailing security challenges in the North-East and urged them to be security conscious.
It urged the people to the vigilant and alert at all times, adding that they should not to accept or keep items presented to them by strangers.
The statement called on the people to report any suspicious movement of persons and strange objects to the police or other security agencies closer to them.
It urged them to call GSM number 08089671313 if they are in distress or under security threat “for urgent attention by the police.”
