LAGOS – The Nigeria Squash Federation (NSF) on Friday said that the postponed Africa Squash Tournament has been rescheduled for Oct.6.
The President of the federation, Adamu Erena, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
The tournament was initially scheduled to hold on May 4 in Abuja, but had to be postponed because of the security challenges in some parts of the country.
“We have chosen a new date for the tournament and we are optimistic that it will hold this time around.
“Our major priority is to put together a fantastic tournament that is hitch free, so from now till October we would have put in place the necessary logistics.
“We urge on our player not to be disappointed; they should remain focused because October is just around the corner they should train hard, we believe in their ability,” Erena added.
The Africa tourney will now hold from Oct. 6 to Oct. 11 at the Abuja Stadium. (NAN)
