ONITSHA – Anambra Central Traditional Rulers Council on Tuesday said it would continue to support the administration of Gov. Willie Obiano in its bid to reduce crime in the state.

The Chairman of the Council, Igwe Chukwuemeka Ilouno, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ifitedunu near Onitsha that the monarchs were impressed by the “transformations being carried out by Obiano”.

Ilouno noted that the 177 communities in Anambra had provided land as their support for Obiano’s efforts to boost agriculture in the state.

“Anambra has woken up and indeed the appellation of the “Light of the Nation’ fits Anambra even better today. [eap_ad_2] “The governor that has come made it clear that his is for continuity.

“He also promised the traditional rulers that he is going to not only continue with the programmes of the immediate past governor but he is bent on improving on them.

“And I want to tell you that we are all impressed.

“I call him “Hurricane-Willie’’ because the pace at which he is moving fascinates me.

“If that man continues in this way, in the next eight years Anambra will really be the beacon on to which the entire nation would be looking up.”

Ilouno, who is also the traditional ruler of Ifitedunu community in Dunukofia Local Government Area, advised the citizens of the state to support Obiano’s efforts to deliver good governance to the populace. (NAN)[eap_ad_3]
