Sokoto – Alhaji Abdullahi Bafarawa, APC Chieftain in Sokoto State, on Thursday advised the state independent electoral commission to provide a level playing ground for the conduct of March local government election in the state.
Bafarawa told the News Agency of Nigeria ( NAN ) in Sokoto that it was only by so doing that the electorate would partake in a transparent election.
He also called on the state police command to put in place stringent security measures that to prevent any form of violence before ,during and after the election.

He said that presence of security personnel would give the electorate a sense of confidence to come out and exercise their civil right.
He also urged leaders of political parties to mobilize their supporters to shun violence and thuggery .
He said that the desire of conducting free, fair and credible elections would only be posdible if politicians played responsible politics by playing the game according to its rules and regulations. ( NAN )
