Senate Majority Leader, Senator Ali Ndume, was on Tuesday fired by lawmakers belonging to the ruling party All Progressives Congress (APC), and replaced him with another lawmaker.
Senate President, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki, who announced the replacement through a letter during the plenary, from APC caucus on the change in the Senate Leadership, announcing Senator Ahmed Lawan as the new caucus Leader.
Saraki, however, did not give the reasons for the shock replacement.
