elective posts to woo physically-challenged persons to brighten their chances of winning elections.
Malam Aliyu Muhammad-Salisu, the Chairman of the association in Kaduna state, gave the advice in Zaria, Kaduna state, on Friday while fielding questions from the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
“As politicians, if you want any political position, you should embrace physically-challenged persons because God answers their prayers.
“Therefore, embracing them will brighten your chances of not only winning an election but also entire life fortune,” Muhammad-Salisu said.
The chairman also appealed to the government and wealthy individuals to come to their assistance with a view to improving their standard of living.
“We want a situation where the government and wealthy individuals can come to our aid, so that our lives can change for the better instead of roaming the streets begging people.
“We are not happy the way some of our members are roaming the streets,’’ he said.
Muhammad-Salisu, who appealed to his members to collect their Permanent Voter Cards, noted that these are tools that they would use to exercise their civic rights. (NAN
