Abuja – Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar on Friday said the death of the District Head of Jada, his community in Ganye Emirate, Alhaji Muhammadu Ardo, robbed Adamawa State of a remarkable traditional ruler.
This is contained in a statement released to newsmen in Abuja by his Media Director, Mr Paul Ibe.
According to Atiku, Ardo devoted himself to the promotion of tolerance and peaceful coexistence among members of the community he led.
He said that the late leader inspired automatic loyalty, respect and admiration because of his just nature and devotion to the progress of his people.
Atiku said that he was proud “to be close to Ardo; the association was a very rewarding experience because you always derive immeasurable benefits from his fountain of wisdom.
“The people of Adamawa would greatly miss his enormously beneficial ideas for the development of the state.’’
The former vice president condoled with the family, government and people of Adamawa over the incident.
