Banker, 26, charged with theft of N383,350 depositors’ money


Adama said that he was satisfied that with the performance, adding that his clubs fortunes had been boosted and the morale of the boys lifted.

“I am really excited with this victory, it is a special one for me; Kwara United has always been a difficult team to beat.

“This has been the case with me since my days with ABS FC, but I’ve always had an edge.

“We prepared for victory knowing that we will be facing a tough opponent; we thank God for the victory.

“Although we could have won with a greater goal margin, the important thing for now is the match points and we are happy to get the maximum three points, ” he said.

Ismaila Gata, who scored the two goals for Kogi United, described the match as an emotional one for him.

“I give God the glory for the game, I am really happy to have fulfilled the promise I made to my teammates and coaches.

“Kwara United is a team I know too well, it’s a good feeling to achieve that feat,” he said.

Technical Adviser of Kwara United, Samson Unuanel, however, also said he was happy with the outcome of the match.

He said that he was happy that his boys did not concede more goals even though they were disadvantaged and played with one man less for almost an hour.

Unuanel, however, said that he was worried that the defeat could hamper his clubs quest for promotion though he was happy with Peter Gabriel’s 73rd minute goal from a free kick.

With the victory, Kogi United FC has garnered a total of 28 points in the on-going league.

The club was expected to travel to Sokoto for its next match against Sokoto United. (NAN)
