Bayelsa Assembly speaker vows not to pay ransom for abducted mother-In-law

YENAGOA –  The Speaker, House Assembly, Mr  Kombowei Benson, said on Wednesday in Yenagoa he would   ransom to free his 90-year-old mother-in-law on May 30

Benson said during the assembly’s plenary session the kidnappers had yet to contact the family.

He said the family would consider the option paying ransom and urged the kidnappers to free the old woman unconditionally.

Ogboro Dark, fondly called Obololo, was reportedly abducted by the gunmen suspected to be kidnappers operating along the waterways Southern Ijaw Local Area.

She was abducted in her hometown, Korokorosei Community at about 2 00 a.m, on May 30.
