“This is what we call `T.O.T` – the Trainer of the Trainer – part of the national strategy on the management and action plan on the Ebola Virus.

“It is beneficial to the health personnel because as you know, many of those who have been infected are the caregivers. So, the knowledge will also empower them to be able to protect themselves.“

Owei stated that the training was part of a national strategy for action plan on the disease.

He said that the participants for the training were selected from various institutions in the state including the state Ministry of Health, the Nigeria Police Force, and the Joint Task Force (JTF).

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that no fewer than 70 health workers participated in the training.

NAN recalls that 103 surveillance and two quarantine centres have been established by the Bayelsa government. (NAN)[eap_ad_3]
