THE man wanted in connection with a serious of blasts that terrorised citizens of New York and New Jersey has been taken into custody.
Ahmad Rahami of Elizabeth, New Jersey, was identified as a suspect after a fingerprint was found on one of the devices that failed to detonate.
They also found more information that pointed to Rahami on cell phones that were wired to the unexploded bombs, officials said.
Officials released a photo on Monday of the 28-year-old suspect, describing him as about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds – adding he should be considered armed and dangerous.
An emergency alert was sent to all smartphones in the area urging anyone who sees him to call 911.
He was taken into custody today following a shout-out with police.
