Abuja – President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to attend the 2016 Innovation Africa Digital (IAD) Summit in Abuja aimed at focusing on Africa’s growth and development in ICT connectivity and innovation.
Mr Franklyn Ginger-Eke, the Manager, Stakeholder Management of Galaxy Backbone, who disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), said that IAD Summit would hold from April 19 to April 20.
Ginger-Eke said that the summit with the theme: “Harnessing Africa’s Digital Growth’’ would assess how ICT could support national and regional development objectives, engagement strategies, operational efficiency and quality of service improvements.
He said that dignitaries expected include Ministers of ICT, Heads of Regulatory Authorities and Chief Executive Officers from telecom service providers and High-Throughput ICT, end- users from across Africa.
Others expected at the summit are the Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr, Babachir Lawal, the Minister of Communications, Mr Adebayo Shittu and ministers from other African countries.
The summit is organised by the Federal Government and Galaxy Backbone Ltd. in partnership with Extensia, UK. (NAN)
