BUHARI TARGETED IN KADUNA BOMB, CONVOY HIT, GUARDS INJURED

General Muhammadu BuhariFormer Head of State retired General Muhammadu Buhari was targeted in an apparent suicide bombing in Kaduna today, but he escaped unhurt, according to his spokesman Yau Darazo.
All the three jeeps in Buhari’s convoy were damaged, while three security guards were injured. The guards have been treated and discharged from the hospital, Darazo said.[eap_ad_2]
He explained that the incident happened as Buhari’s convoy drove along Kawo area while he was on his way to his hometown Daura in Katsina State.
The bomber had earlier tried to overtake the convoy but was blocked by the rear security vehicle.
As they approached Kawo area, the bomber’s car succeeded in coming near Buhari’s vehicle and then there was an explosion.
Dozens of people were killed in the incident, according to witnesses. (Daily Trust)[eap_ad_3]
