ABUJA, (Sundiata Post) – The governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has described as unfortunate the death of Mr Chukwuma Onuekwusi, the State House Correspondent Presidential Villa Abuja for Channels Television. He was aged 55 years.
Okorocha who recieved with rude shock the sad news said the late Onuekwusi was an illustrious son of the State and a worthy ambassador, who acquitted himself well, not only as a Journalist of note but also as an exemplary son of the State.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Sam Onwuemeodo, the governor, described Onuekwusi an indigene of Akabo in Ikeduru Local Government of the State Mr Onuekwusi represented what an ideal electronic media Practitioner should be, and was undoubtedly a blessing both to the Journalism Profession in particular and to the society at large.
He regretted that Onuekwusi died when his patriotism and services were mostly needed by all men and women of goodwill.
The governor extended his heartfelt Condolences to the family of the late media guru, and also to the Management and Staff of the Channels Television.
The Imo governor assures that the government would play the needed role in giving him a befitting burial and prayed that God would grant his innocent soul eternal rest.
