Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Independent National Electoral Commission has released the latest report if it’s ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR), saying that so far the number of fresh registrants now stood at 4,420,391.
The weekly report which is for the quarter 2 Week 8 released as at 7am on Monday 29th November 2021, stated that completed online and physical registration has currently hit 1,971,617.
The report shows that more males completed the registration compared to the females. While the number of males that completed registration is put at 996,902 that of the females is 974,715.
Also not left out in the Continuous Voters Registration are Persons Living With Disability (PLWD). No fewer than 19,783 of them have successfully completed registration, the INEC report stated.
According to the report, there two categories of registration namely; Online and physical registration. It is evident that more Nigerians prefer the physical registration to the online mode of registration.
Whereas 1,178,193 persons have registered physically, the figure for number of voters registered online is put at 793,424.
Also, the INEC’s report stated that number of youths (between the ages of 18 and 34) that got registered in the period under review is 1,406,560.
