Court remands man, 38, over murder

SANGO-OTA (OGUN) – An Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun on Monday remanded a 38-year old man, Muyideen Olasunkanmi, in prison custody over alleged murder.
Olasunkanmi was arraigned for allegedly killing one Ramon Yusuf, 29, by shooting him with a gun.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Titi Bello, said the accused should be remanded in prison pending advice from the state Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) on the murder charge.
The accused, whose address is unknown, is facing a two-count charge of murder and conspiracy.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp. Peter Molokwu , had told the court that the accused and others still at large, committed the offence on Feb. 15, 2012 at Itele, in Ota.
He said that the offence contravened the Criminal Code.

The case was adjourned till Feb.2 7, 2015 for hearing. (NAN)
