ISMAILIA – The death toll from an Islamic State attack on a security convoy in Egypt’s North Sinai province has climbed to 18 policemen, including two officers, security and medical sources said on Monday.
Seven people, three policemen and four ambulance workers, were also injured in the attack, which started when militants detonated an improvised explosive device targeting armoured vehicles that later devolved into a gunfight.
