Abuja (Sundiata Post) – House of Representative member (PDP Jos South/Jos East), Hon. Dachung Bagos has charged people of his constituents to defend themselves since security operatives have failed in their primary responsibility.
Bagos said the frequency in which people are killed in the State clearly shows that Fulani herdsmen want to wipe away the entire natives and take over the land.
The lawmaker stated this Monday during a mass burial of seven persons killed at the Danda Village in Jos South.
Our correspondent reported that the Suspected Fulani bandits had on Sunday night attacked Danda chugwi village where seven persons including an eight years old baby were amputated.
The killings come barely 24 hours after 18 persons lost their lives during a clash between bandits and members of a vigilante group in the Wase Local Government Area of the State on Saturday.
According to Bagos: “This incident has raised concerns over the readiness of security agencies to tackle once and for all the gorilla style of killing which has been incessant in my constituency and Plateau State, intelligent reports has it that the attackers had sent signal before now and no action was taken on the part of the security agency to curtail it, this is sad”.
“I am angry and enraged by the daily killing within and around my constituency. I want to state emphatically, that I will continue to talk about these callous attitudes of killers. Everybody has the right to defend himself. Enough is enough”, he said.
