Ado-Ekiti – The Ekiti Commissioner for Information, Youth and Sports, Mr Lanre Ogunsuyi, said on Friday that the state had recruited talented indigenes to fortify Ekiti United FC.
Ogunsuyi told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the aim was to fortify and make the team formidable in the Nationwide League.
Ogunsuyi said the government was committed to the welfare of the team and would ensure that the club did not suffer relegation in the nationwide league in the new season.
“ As long as I am concerned with the development of the state-owned club, Ekiti United, they will be given financial, moral and physical support to promote the club in the league.
“ Both the team and its coach are ready to work hard and train well and we are ready to finance them to ensure that they are not relegated,’’ he said. (NAN)
