Abuja – The Tourism Department of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has called on Nigerians and tourists to patronise the various tourist sites in Abuja.
The Director in charge of the department, Mrs Irene Elegbede, made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Tuesday.
Elegbede said that the FCT was blessed with natural and man-made tourist sites in all the area councils in the territory.
“The FCT tourism industry is growing and a lot of sites and attractions have been discovered.
“There is the Bwaya Mountain in Bwari Area Council, Bwari, which got its name from the Bwaya Mountain.
“We also have the Aso Rock and cafe which is close to the Presidential Villa, the IBB Golf Course and the Abuja Zoological Garden.

“There is the Jabi Lake and Lower Usman Dam; Ushafa Traditional Pottery; Ladi Kwadi Pottery Centre; Abuja Love Garden; Millennium Park and so many others.
“We also have the Mysterious Magnetic Rock at Dutsen Alhaji, the Millenium Towers and many others that would delight visitors and tourists in the territory,” Elegbede said.
The director also said that the city had tastefully furnished hotels, clubs, parks and recreation centres across the territory that would satisfy the needs of visitors and tourists.
She said the safety of tourists in the territory was guaranteed. (NAN)
