FCTA pledges continued support to security agencies

Abuja – The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of FCT, Mr John Chukwu, has pledged the administration’s support to the security agencies so as to make life and property of residents safer.

Chukwu gave this pledge when he met with the new Commander of the Army Headquarters Garrison, Abuja, Brig.-Gen. Abba Dikko on Thursday.

He noted that more security attention was imperative in Abuja as the seat of government, adding that the city was the window through which the world sees Nigeria.

According to him, Abuja hosts Mr President, members of the National Assembly, Chief Justice of the Federation as well as members of the diplomatic community.

He, therefore, stressed the need for concerted efforts towards ensuring adequate security of lives and property of the residents.

Chukwu promised maximum support for the security agents as partners in ensuring the well-being of Abuja residents.

“This administration will continue to carry out its statutory functions of city management diligently.

“FCTA will assist in solving the environmental and ecological problems affecting the Mogadishu Barracks’’, he said.
