Lagos – The Trade Commissioner of the Finnish Trade
Promotion Office in Lagos, Mr Olu Raheem, on Thursday announced the
visit of a delegation of Finnish ICT companies to Nigeria.
Raheem said in statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria
(NAN) in Lagos that the seven companies would be visiting from April
25th to 29th.
It listed companies on the delegation to include Comptel, Exomi, Funzi,
JLSoft, Monami Agency, Movial and QPR Software.
According to the statement, more Finnish Telecoms and software experts
are looking at the possibility of exploring the existing opportunities in
Nigerian markets.
“These companies believe in the Nigerian market, especially in the area
of ICT, where Finnish technical know-how and innovative solutions can
provide added value.
“Nigeria, being a key driver in international trade and Africa’s
largest market, provides these companies more incentives to want to
enter her market.
“The Finnish Trade Promotion Office in Lagos, is therefore, bringing
to Nigeria a delegation of seven fast growing Finnish ICT companies
from April 25th to April 29th,’’ it said.
The statement said that the visiting companies had a long-standing
know-how in connectivity platforms, mobile infrastructure, security
and authentication, operations management, digital campaigns and
learning solutions.
It also expressed optimism that the visit would provide opportunity
for the companies to introduce their products and services to local
authorities and Nigerians.
According to the statement, Finland has over the years introduced
different technologies and digital services, including Nokia, to the
