Paris – President Francois Hollande of France on Thursday called on Germany to explain its alleged spying after media reports claimed that it had gathered secret intelligence on France’s foreign minister.
“I know that the chancellor will do all that she can to clarify the exact circumstances of the matter”, Hollande said.
He said that he had been assured that the spying activities had stopped.
The spying agency listened in on French Foreign Minister, Laurent Fabius, who has also asked Germany to explain its actions.
