Abuja – A romantic comedy feature “Ghana Must Go” is set to be released in cinemas on June 10, the
producer, Yvonne Okoro, said.
Okoro, who made this known in a statement made available on Monday in Abuja, added that “Ghana Must Go” would be released in cinemas nationwide on June 10.
She explained that “it has two families, one Nigerian and the other Ghanaian, who come to live together.”
According to the producer, who also played a major role in the movie, Ghana Must Go is set in Accra, Ghana.
“It revolves around two young lovers, Ama and Chuks, who are of Nigerian and Ghanaian origin.
“Ama, a London-based Ghanaian woman brings her Nigerian boyfriend, Chuks, home to meet her parents.
“However, Ama’s parents refused to give their blessing to the union, citing historical happenings between the neighbouring nations.”
Okoro added that the movie, which already premiered both in Ghana and Nigeria, featured top Nollywood and Ghollywood stars
including Nkem Owoh, Kofi Adjorlolo, Ada Ameh, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Helen Paul and Okawa Shaznay.
“Ghana Must Go”, from the stables of Desamour Productions, was directed by award winning filmmaker, Frank Rajah. (NAN)
