Moscow -An elderly Russian woman holding what appeared to be a grenade on Friday demanded that workers at a pension office in Siberia hand over her payment or she would blow up the building.
Local media reported that the woman’s threat came after the workers insisted that they could not fulfill her request.
The report said the woman agreed to come back on Monday and said she would follow through with her threat if she didn’t get her payment.
The woman, whose name has not been disclosed, was a regular at the pension office in the Siberian city of Chelyabinsk, and police caught up with her shortly after the incident.

A spokesman for the police said an investigation is underway, but that the woman did not have an actual grenade and there would be no charges. (dpa/NAN)
