Gumel (Jigawa-The senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Jigawa North-West, Alhaji Abdullahi Gumel, on Sunday pledged to offer quality and purposeful representation in the National Assembly if elected.
Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in his country home in Gumel, Jigawa, the candidate explained that the people needed an experienced person like him to initiate laws that would better their lives and other Nigerians.

He said that he was conversant with the business of law making, having represented Gumel/ Gagarawa/Maigatari/Sule-Tankarkar Federal Constituency between 1999 and 2003.
He expressed the confidence that he would emerge victorious during the February election, describing his candidacy and the APC as acceptable to the people of the area.
Gumel, who said that he was a founding member of PDP, disclosed that he left his former party on personal grounds.
He commended Gov. Sule Lamido for his achievements in the development of infrastructure in the state. (NAN)
