Dutse – Former Deputy Speaker of Jigawa House of Assembly, Alhaji Dauda Yankwashi on Sunday said there was hope in the effort by the current administration at re-positioning the country.
Yankwashi, who defected from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to All Progressives congress (APC) recently, stated this while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Dutse.
He explained that there was never a true transformation and reposition of the country in major sectors of the economy as being experienced now.
The Ex Deputy Speaker urged Nigerians to support and cooperate with President Muhammadu Buhari in transforming the country for better.
“The President is a man of integrity with sincerity to reposition this country and we have to support him to succeed,” he said.
According to him, the change promised Nigerians was real but needed a lot of patience, perseverance and understanding for such change to come.
Yankwashi noted that if new things were introduced, it was always difficult for people to adjust.
The former Deputy Speaker said that he was not regretting for defecting to APC but rather happy to be part of the change agenda of the present government.
