SOKOTO – Sokoto State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Mukhtari Shagari, on Tuesday, said
President Goodluck Jonathan has absolute faith in Nigeria.
Shagari, who is also the state’s Coordinator of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Organisation, made the remark at the grand finale of the gubernatorial campaign of the PDP in Sokoto.

He said “President Goodluck Jonathan is the only presidential candidate that has the feelings of Nigerians at heart.’’
He promised that a PDP-led government in the state, if elected, would give top priority to rejuvenation of the education sector, among others.
He urged the people of the state to come out en masse and vote for Jonathan, as well as other candidates of the party on March 28 and April 11.
Also speaking, former Governor of the state and PDP Chieftain, Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa, described the incumbent APC-led government in the state as a “total failure.’’
He promised that the people of the state would vote for PDP to ensure its success at all levels.
The party’s gubernatorial candidate, Sen. Abdallah Wali, promised to tackle the problems of agriculture, health, education and youth development, among others, if elected.
Sen. Ahmed Maccido ( PDP-Sokoto), and his Sokoto North/Sokoto South Federal Constituency incumbent member, who is also seeking for re-election, expressed optimism that PDP would emerge victorious in the forthcoming polls.
The state’s Chairman of the party, Alhaji Ibrahim Milgoma, appealed to the people of the state to come out en masse and vote for PDP candidates at all levels. (NAN)
