Jos Central Rotary Club President kits 90 Pupils With Uniforms,Others

Jos, – The newly invested 41st president of the Rotary Club of Jos Central, Dr Kayode Fasua, has kitted 90 primary school pupils with uniforms, school bags, books and sandals.

Fasua further gave out 10 grinding machines and 10 wheel chairs to 20 indigent persons on Sunday in Jos, during his investiture ceremony and the induction of new members.

According to him, the donation is in line with the Rotary’s theme of 2023 entitled: “Create hope in the world”, adding that the club’s intent is to help restore hope and help the world heal via serving humanity.

Fasua, revealed that as the 41st president of the Rotary club of Jos Central, he would focus on the club’s seven thematic areas of Water, Sanitation and hygiene, Environment, Maternal and Child health, Basic Education and Literacy, disease prevention and treatment, Economic and Community development, as well as peace building and conflict resolution.

He said during his tenure, 24 projects would be executed in the thematic areas.

Speaking during the investiture, Gov. Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau, in his remarks, commended the newly invested president for his blueprint, which he expressed that it would greatly impact humanity.

Mutfwang, said that the office of the president of Rotary was one for personal gain, but a call to serve humanity.

The governor, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government , Mr Samuel Jatau, pledged his continuous support to Rotary Club International, as well as that of Jos Central.
