Following its remarkable achievements and celebration of the second year anniversary for Kaymu, the next goal for this vibrant e- brand commerce is to ensnare all African merchants to its hub with a mission for bigger expansion, wider visibility and increased membership.
Evangeline Wiles, the managing director of Kaymu, stated in a chat with correspondents in Lagos on Tuesday that with over 10,000 merchants currently registered on the platform, the surface to the company’s mission has barely been scratched.
In two years since its inception, Kaymu has expanded from five staff in just Lagos, Nigeria to 50 workers in Lagos and to over 34 countries (17 in Africa) with 200 staff, a robust fan base of over two million Facebook fans as at date and remarkable partnerships with organisations such as Kinabuti, Cool Fm, Nigezie, and most recently Lagos Chambers of Commerce and Industry ( LCCI)
In September 2014 Kaymu also won the online retail award of commendation and in October Its MD Evangeline wiles became the goodwill ambassador for LCCI.
The popular #idreamofaNigeriaindependentcampaign was also initiated by this brand and unlike other brands Kaymu offers sellers a large exposure with promotion on Facebook, google and other offline channels.

Its goal is to become bigger than other online e-commerce businesses and to achieve this feat the following initiative are being embarked on:
Kaymu varsity: A series of seller focused workshops where sellers are trained on how to leverage social media tools as well as embark on DIY PR activities for their online stores.
Kaymu Entrepreneurial Workshop: A series of mobile workshops that educate entrepreneurs how to sell online, how to manage an online store as well as public relations and social media strategies for online market place sellers and other tips for growth and nourishment of their individual businesses
Kaymu Future Entrepreneurs: An interactive and educational training and practical session that enables primary and secondary school students to work for half a day at the Kaymu office to drive their entrepreneurship spirit.
SME Saturday: An online/offline integrated sales event where buyers and sellers get to conduct business transactions face to face.
Amongst these Kaymu assists its merchants with customer service, provide logistic support with no listing fee, and charges a small commission to be paid after a certain threshold of business has been reached by individual merchants.
