The abductors of the wife of the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, Margaret, have demanded a ransom of N100 million. Impeccable sources confided in an online newspaper, The Eagle Online that the demand was made shortly after the kidnap of Margaret on Thursday.
She was said to have been kidnapped along the Benin-Agbor Road. The kidnappers, who got in touch with Emefiele, according to a top police officer in the Office of the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, vowed not to release their victim until the ransom is paid.
It was gathered that Idris has deployed the Intelligence Response Team under his office and other crack detectives within the Force to rescue Margaret unhurt and without paying any ransom. (The Eagle Online)
