Kano -The Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity has promised to embark on sensitisation of establishments and companies in Kano to the emerging trends in industrial relations and occupational safety.
Alhaji Salau Abubakar, the state’s director of the ministry disclosed this in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Saturday.
According to him, there is need to enlighten stakeholders, especially employers of labour, on the purpose of our new administrative structure and on how to take appropriate measures to enhance safety of staff.
Abubakar, who said the programme will come up this month, noted that this will reduce incidences of occupational hazard and injuries in such work place so as to improve workers productivity.
He added that last year there was massive registration of graduate applicants for employment exchange and professional executive secretary with a view to placing them into available job vacancies.

He said the programme was focused at addressing unemployment in the country. (NAN)
