Lagos – A 24-year-old sex worker, Ifeoma Chizobia, who allegedly stabbed a woman, Chioma Nwachukwu , with a broken bottle on the neck, was on Thursday arraigned in Lagos.
The accused, who resides at Ajegunle area of Apapa, is facing a charge of assault at an Apapa Magistrates’ Court, Lagos .

The Prosecutor, Insp. Friday Inedu, told the court that the accused committed the offence on Feb. 11 at about 9.30 p.m. at White House Bus Stop, Ajangbadi, Apapa.
Inedu said the complainant and the accused were fighting when the accused suddenly picked a bottle, broke it and stabbed Nwachukwu.
He said the offence contravened Section 244 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the section prescribes a three-year jail term for offenders.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty.
The Senior Magistrate, Mr M.A. Etti, granted the accused bail in the sum of N100, 000, with two sureties in like sum.
He adjourned the case to March 17 for mention. (NAN)
