Dutse- Gov. Sule Lamido of Jigawa has urged whoever will take over from him in 2015 to be loyal and accountable to the people of the state.
Lamido said this when he received members of the Arewa Youth Forum (AYF) in Dutse on Tuesday.
He said that he had not anointed any loyal cabinet members to succeed him.
The governor said that anyone that would step into his shoe as a governor either from his party or another political party should work and serve the people of the state.
“I am not anybody’s boy as a governor and I don’t want anyone in the name of my boy as a successor,’’ Lamido said.
He also urged the people of the state to be loyal and support whoever emerged as governor for the development and progress of the state.
Lamido enjoined members of AYF to be focused in their activities and not to allow themselves to be used by politicians for their selfish goals.
In his remarks, the President of the forum, Alhaji Gambo Gujung, lauded the governor for the infrastructural development in the state.
Gujungu said that they were in the state on an assessment as part of the forum’s ongoing good governance tour across the 19 northern states. (NAN)
