Lagos – Lagos State University (LASU) on Wednesday said it would sponsor 12 of its students and two staff to the 2017 Nigeria Tertiary Model United Nations Society (NITIMUN) Conference .
According to the university’s official bulletin obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the NITIMUN conference had been scheduled to hold between Oct. 31 and Nov.4 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
The theme for the 2017 conference is “Tackling Unemployment and Youth Involvement in Cyber Crime”.
The conference would be an opportunity for brilliant young minds to bring their talents and ideas together and discuss the global initiative.
Each delegate will present a thought-provoking position paper of his or her assigned country’s position on the committee’s topic(s).
At the end of conference, the students would be empowered to participate in nation building, global development as well as rise up to become leaders working towards a better tomorrow.
The LASU students listed to participate in the. Conference included Umeodika Ngozi, Uzuegbu Faith, Eniayeju Josephine , Rasaq Abiola, Tiamiyu Toheeb, Sanya Akinsiwaju.
Others were Onyejiaka Chizaram, Olugbenga Pelumi, Obaniwa Benjamin, Lawal Ademola, Kappo Samuel and Philips Akintola.
The bulletin said the students would be accompanied to the conference by the Principal Assistant Registrar, Students’ Affairs Division, Mrs. O.O. Dosunmu and Principal Executive Officer (Information), Mr. O. S. Jeariogbe. (NAN)
