Lagos – A 27-year-old man, Azeez Abass, who allegedly stabbed two of his friends with broken bottle on Friday appeared before a Tinubu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.
Abass, of no fixed address and occupation, pleaded not guilty to a two-count charge of conspiracy and assault.
The Magistrate, Mr Ade Adefulire, granted the accused N100,000 bail with one surety in like sum.
He adjourned the case till July 4.
The Prosecutor, Mr Ben Ekundayo, had told the court that the accused and others at large committed the offences on May 1 at about 7:30p.m.
Ekundayo said that at Aldamak area of Langbasa, Ajah, Lagos, the accused stabbed Adesunkanmi Adewunmi and Ahmed Esuruosho with broken bottle on the head and body.
He added that the accused and the complainants had a dispute over the using of a rizla paper belonging to the accused.
Ekundayo said during the argument a fight ensued and the accused broke a bottle and stabbed the complainants on the head causing them serious injury.
He said the offences contravened Sections 171 and 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011. (NAN)
