Abuja – The Military Pensions Board said it would begin the distribution of combo identification cards for military retirees from Feb 27 to March 3.
A statement issued in Abuja on Monday by Sqn. Ldr. Ikenna Ezendu, the Public Relations Officer, Military Pension Board, said the exercise was to extend the identification cards to other states of the federation.
“The board wishes to inform all military pensioners whose last verification centres are in Borno, Cross River, Ekiti, Katsina, Lagos, Osun, Yobe and Zamfara States that their new combo identification cards are ready for collection,’’ he said.
He said that the exercise would hold in at the following states Borno, 212 Bn Maimalari, Barracks, Maiduguri, Cross River, Head Quarter 13, Brigade Eburutu Barracks, Calabar, Ekiti, Mobile Police Ground, Ado Ekiti.
Other venues are Katsina, 35 Battalion Natsinta Army Barracks Katsina, Lagos, Head Quarters 9 Brigade Cantonment, Osun, Engineering Construction Regiment (ECR) , Army Barracks, Ede,Yobe, 241 Recce BnNguru , Governor’s Office Complex and Zamfara 1 Brigade , Army Barracks, Gusau.
He advised all eligible military pensioners in these states to check board’s website www.mpb.ng to confirm if their cards were ready for collection.
Ezendu said that pensioners should to come along with their last verification printouts and other relevant documents for clearance before collection.
He said that arrangements were ongoing to extend the distribution of the cards to other states.
