Rabat – Morocco’s Foreign Ministry on Tuesday reiterated its call for closer cooperation to face cross-border terrorism in North Africa.
In a statement following deadly clashes near Libyan border, it said more regional and international efforts are needed to deal with cross-border terrorist threats, particularly in North Africa, the Sahel region and the Sahara.
“Morocco has strongly condemned Monday’s terrorist attacks that targeted police and military posts in Ben Guerdane’’, the statement said, underlining Morocco’s solidarity with the Tunisian government.

The statement added that it insisted that the perpetrators of the abject crime sought to undermine Tunisia’s security and stability and spread of terrorism. (Xinhua/NAN)
