EMEVOR (Delta) – Mr Ima Niboro, Managing Director, News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Friday, described his mother, the late Deaconess Agnes Owoma Ukeseh, as quiet, midwife, and woman of God.

Niboro made the remark on Friday when Prof Amos Utuama, the Delta Deputy Governor, led other dignitaries to the interment of his mother at Emevor, Isoko North Local Government Area of the state.

He noted that before his mother’s death, the family had built and dedicated a church to God on her behalf.

“Mama was a woman of God and she was given to prayers.

“When we asked her what she wanted us to do for her in Emevor, she said we should build a church; so we built and dedicated the church on her behalf.

“She was a quiet, loving woman and a midwife, who delivered most children in Emevor. She loved her family and children’’, Niboro said.

He thanked the deputy governor and other dignitaries for honouring the family with their presence and for the condolence visits.

Niboro acknowledged that being a deputy governor was a challenging task, adding that Utuama had conducted himself with maturity.

“He is such an exemplary humanity and a man we all should be proud of and we will follow where he leads us’’, he said.

Niboro lauded the management of Tell Magazine for giving him the platform to excel, adding that without his foundation in Tell, he would not have reached the height.

He appreciated all the dignitaries, including Prof Goddini Dara of Delta State University, Abraka, the royal fathers and colleagues for coming to honour him and prayed for God’s protection for them.

Earlier, Utuama prayed for God’s protection over the entire family and relations of Niboro, adding that as they had honoured their mother, so would their children also honour them.

The late Ukeseh was interred in Emevor on Friday. (NAN)
