NCoS begin training to prevent future prison break

Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), has engaged other security outfit on routine training to help prevent futher prison break.

The NCoS said the evaluation of the Kuje Prison will help to checkmate and install adequate security measures to forestall the unfortunate and embarrassing July, 5, 2022 mayhem.

This was stated in a statement sent to our correspondent on Sunday by Chukwuedo Humphrey, the Superintendent of Corrections,
Public Relations Officer, FCT Command.

According to him: “The simulation training which is a strategy adopted during the last meeting of security heads in FCT to evaluate the security situation in Kuje Custodial Centre and to put up adequate measures to avoid a repeat of the unfortunate July 5, 2022 jail attack.

“The Controller of Corrections FCT Command Ahmed Musa Ahmed encouraged them to always see themselves as a team and not as splinters as they can achieve more when they train together thereby making the custodial centre impenetrable”.

He said the simulation which is headed by the Nigerian Correctional Service team lead Superintendent Kujanye has as it’s components personel drawn from the Correctional Service armed squad,the K9 unit the military, police force, NSCDC, and the Nigerian Immigration Service

He added that Ahmed advises the members of the immediate community not to panic as there would be gun shots and such simulation exercises would be done periodically to boost the alertness of the personnel.
