Abuja – Stakeholders in Ondo State have been called upon to give the necessary support to the newly sworn in Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), and his deputy, Mr Agboola Ajayi.
The Chairman of the Governing Board of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Sen. Victor Ndoma-Egba, made the call in a congratulatory message signed by Mrs Clara Braide, Special Assistant, Communication Office, NDDC, on Monday in Abuja
Ndoma-Egba commended the people of Ondo State for their orderly conduct exhibited before, during and after the Friday swearing-in ceremony.
He urged them to join hand with the administration as it works toward delivering on the promises made during the campaigns.
“I urge the government and people of Ondo State to put aside differences and unite as a strong force in support of the administration of the Ondo State Governor, Akeredolu.
“I also urge the governor to reach out to all aggrieved political stakeholders and mend fences.
“Only then can the administration successfully achieve its plans to build a strong foundation for the growth, development and prosperity of the good people of Ondo state.” he said.
The NDDC Chairman also congratulated all the political parties and their candidates that contested the Ondo governorship election for the fair play and relatively peaceful conduct displayed during and after the election.
He, however, called for calm and appealed to the opposition parties to set aside political differences and join hands to build the State and move it forward.
Akeredolu has promised to make the collective interest of the state his paramount focus.
