Akure – Mr Philip Ayuba, new Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ondo State Command, has advised personnel of the command to be diligent in carrying out their duty.
The commandant gave the advice after assuming office on Thursday in Ondo.
He also called on officers and men of the command deployed to various local government areas of the state to be efficient in intelligence gathering, safeguarding critical national assets and Infrastructure.
Ayuba also urged the personnel to ensure effective monitoring of private guard companies, disaster and crisis management in the state.
“I believe that with the existing and future synergy with other security agencies, the state will be rid of all forms of criminal activities before, during and after the Christmas and New Year Seasons,” he said.
Also speaking, Mrs Christiana Abiakam- Omanu, the former Commandant, commended all officers and men of the command their support and contributions during her tenure.
News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Abiakam-Omanu will now assume office as Commandant in Bayelsa, where Ayuba was before moving to Ondo State Command.
