ABUJA – The Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) said on Tuesday that it had concluded a fresh contract to return Stephen Keshi as Super Eagles Head Coach.
Emeka Inyama, board member of the NFF, disclosed this to newsmen after the committee’s meeting in Abuja.
Inyama said a meeting between Keshi and the NFF executive committee had earlier taken place in Abuja on Tuesday where the terms and conditions of the contract were spelt out.
“Having finalised a fresh contract with Mr Stephen Keshi and having forwarded same to him, the Executive Committee expects the new contract to be signed by the NFF and Keshi in a matter of days.[eap_ad_2]
“We expect that between Thursday and Friday, Keshi should be back to his job so as to prepare for the assignment at hand’’, Inyama said.
Keshi’s contract renewal had been a subject of controversy after Nigeria’s second Round exit at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
NAN also recalls that the sack of Aminu Maigari-led board which had foot-dragged on the contract renewal paved the way for the renewal by Mike Umeh-led board.
Keshi’s phone was, however, switched off when NAN called to seek his opinion. (NAN)[eap_ad_3]
