Nigeria moved up two places in the latest Fifa World rankings to 45 in the world, sliding into 6th place in Africa, just ahead of Tunisia.
The Super Eagles actually lost 6 points and only moved up because Tunisia lost 44 points. And they remain the lowest-ranked among their World Cup group rivals.
Argentina are the top-ranked team in Group F, dropping three places down to 6th in the world. Bosnia also lost ranking places, going down to 25th.
But Iran moved up 5 places to extend their leading position in the AFC.
